Bingo Is Hitting The Main Stream

These events have created a trend, with multiple non-profit organizations getting involved and the amount of money being raised is staggering. Organizers are attributing the phenomenon to the large number of people who like to play bingo and want to get involved in something great in the community.
At a recent event in New York City, Mike Myers, from Austin Powers and Saturday Night Live fame, showed up at the event. He played multiple head to head rounds, in which two people play bingo against each other in a best two out of three contest. While he only lasted a couple rounds, his presence in the bingo arena led many celebrities to follow. Pretty soon Jack McBrayer, Kenneth from television’s hit show 30 Rock, attended a bingo game and bingo events quickly made its way to Page Six of the New York Post.
Many are finding bingo exciting at home online. Many more people are playing bingo at halls, community centers and through internet bingo. While previously thought of as an old person’s activity, bingo games are proving popular with people of all ages as a great amount of twenty and thirty something’s are getting in on the act.
While bingo and online bingo may currently be en vogue in celebrity sectors, hip trendsetters and charity circuits, the game has always been a staple fun activity for kids and adults alike. The rebirth in bingo only displays how immortal the game is and how everybody could get in on the action. Whether it’s a rainy day at home playing online bingo or a night out on the town full of celebrities, bingo can be a fun time for any occasion.
