The girl with No Name this Week on “Grey’s Anatomy”

This week’s episode has Meredith scrambling to diagnose a female hiker’s injury who was found in a deep ravine. Surprised by the x-rays, the patient’s wounds are way more serious than first thought as Meredith sees that there have been years of untreated wounds in the girl’s body. Teddy reveals that injuries of this nature have been seen in people that have been tortured. When Meredith tries to get the girl to tell her name, she states that the guy, whoever it is, called her Susan, but she thinks her actual name is Holly, Holly Wheeler.  Holly went amiss as a child and has been missing for many years, but is now found.

With the attention that the Holly Wheeler is bringing to the hospital, Owen has a lot of concern that he may not be able to handle it. As he discusses it with Richard, he tells him he’ll be just fine. Owen’s initial responsibility will be to handle the press. After that, he has a very upset and irate father to deal with because someone got a photo of Holly as she was transported down the hall. Whenever Cristina recognizes the difficult situation that Owen is having to deal with, she comforts him by telling him that he is doing a great job and the best he can do.

As the show progresses, Holly begins to form a bond with Meredith as she looks to her for continual assurances on her every move. Holly even consults Meredith as to whether or not she needs to let her parents give her hugs. Still traumatized by the things life has dealt her and all that she has experienced, she is very dependant on Meredith and feels she can trust her judgment. Read the rest of this entry »
